WHO WAS RIGHT?
20-something years later, what do you think about the Frank, Mo, Q dynamic on Moesha?
Moesha struggled from seasons 2 through 4 with dealing with her fathers disapproval of Q as her choice for a boyfriend. As a fan, I was rooting for Q, even when he went out of his way to play himself, only because, as a child, I felt her father's extremely strict and judgemental stance on "The 'rough back' from New York" (I cry over that until this day LOL) was more of a reason for her to PROVE to him that Q wasn't that bad and that the kid had a good heart underneath all of the camouflage.
However, that was some 20 some odd years ago, my perspective has changed (kind of). I understand WHY Frank was extremely guarded when it came to his Pumpkin and her choice of friends and boys. I didn't realize it then, but watching as a full fledged adult, Q was dripping in sex!! One of the things that kept him interested (and disinterested in some episodes) was the fact that Moesha wasn't putting out! I truly believe he did come to love Moesha, because she really was a good girl, but I think one of the reasons their relationship was so tumultuous was because, well... Q was creepin'! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
